Want a quick and EASY way of pulling down the Mac addresses on your Network?
You can of course do it with Powershell and WMI but how about all workstations using DHCP? As long as they have logged in recently all you need to do in the DHCP server in Windows is Right Click on the “Address Leases” under your Scope
and choose Export List. It will let you export that list to a Tab Delimited file. The list will contain not only the IP address but ALSO the Machine name and the ASSOCIATED MAC ADDRESS!
This is important for the previous post. If you have that Mac Address handy? There’s your “Wake on Lan” list.
